I enjoyed getting more time with Samantha’s dad and Jaxon and his mom. I really hope that we get more from Samantha in the future. The scene at the dance was just so perfect and magical. I feel like she took a more active role in her life and just wanted to be the person she wanted to be and she didn’t care what anyone thought about her. I thought the character progression of Smamantha was great. Not only do we get the Salem backdrop but we also get to go back to the Titanic and spend some time there as well. I loved that we got more of Elijah but not nearly enough of him, swoon. I loved that we got more time with the Descendants, especially Alice because I love her. I loved How To Hang A Witch and couldn’t wait to read Haunting The Deep, it didn’t disappoint. I really liked getting another story from Samantha. When possessions from the actual ship start turning up during her waking hours, including passengers who perished when the ship sank, she finds herself in the middle of yet another mystery that she needs to solve before she shares the same grim fate as all those who went down with the Titanic. Now in Haunting The Deep, Samantha has been having recurring dreams about being on board the Titanic.

In How To Hang A Witch, Sam survived the curse that had been plaguing the town for centuries and everyone with ties to the Trials. Samantha Mather is a descendant of a man responsible for the Salem Witch Trials.
